Mientras Roberto permanece en la línea de la muerte, es visitado por dos extraños seres que le anuncian que un suceso cambiará su vida y le hará comenzar una búsqueda incansable. Su madre, catalogada como medio bruja por sus vecinos, juega un papel fundamental en esta historia, ya que en su búsqueda, Roberto conocerá parte del pasado misterioso de su madre.
